Collection: Lynn El Jardali
Lebanese living in Beirut, Lebanon
Lynn is an illustrator who lives in a black-and-white world, using her art as a medium to express both personal emotions and social commentary. Her creative journey began in childhood, where she experimented with various techniques and mediums. It wasn’t until university that Lynn discovered her love for illustration and comics, which allowed her to fully develop her style and voice. Over the years, she has cultivated a unique visual identity that blends her personality, beliefs, and emotions, using pencil, ink pen, and markers as her primary tools. Her work is further refined digitally, adding depth to the powerful narratives she creates.

At the core of Lynn’s art are deep emotions, ranging from love and loneliness to sadness and desire. These personal experiences often intertwine with broader social and political themes, allowing her to use her art as a form of expression that transcends individual emotions. Each piece she creates speaks to the complexities of human existence, addressing both internal struggles and societal challenges.
For Lynn, art is not about forcing inspiration but allowing it to flow naturally. She believes in letting the creative process unfold on its own, often inspired by a fleeting musical note or a significant personal event. This organic approach enables her to visualize stories in a way that feels authentic, allowing them to evolve and take shape as they develop on the page.

Her work reflects the many layers of her identity, as it draws upon personal experiences, social observations, and musical influences. Every illustration carries a deeper meaning, connecting her emotions to larger cultural and political statements. This ability to blend personal reflection with universal themes makes Lynn’s art resonate with a wide audience, who find themselves connecting with the stories she tells.
Lynn’s process is grounded in an exploration of both individual and collective narratives. By embracing the freedom to let her ideas evolve naturally, she allows her art to become a powerful reflection of her inner world and the larger social issues she is passionate about. Her work not only captures emotions but also offers a visual commentary on the complexities of life, making her illustrations both deeply personal and universally relatable.

“There’s no single way I start a project—sometimes it’s sparked by a song, a political event, or a personal moment that stirs something deep inside me.”
