Her artistic journey began at the age of eight when her mother gifted her an oil pastel set. This early spark ignited a lifelong passion for illustration and storytelling. Deeply inspired by Disney—so much so that she has Disney-themed tattoos on her arms—Meriam infuses her work with joy, imagination, and a sense of playfulness that resonates with both children and art lovers alike.

Meriam’s creative process often starts with a simple sketch, influenced by fleeting moments of inspiration, such as shapes in the clouds or wandering daydreams. While she primarily works digitally, she finds comfort in returning to her sketchbook and red pencil whenever an idea strikes. Originally drawn to anime, her artistic style evolved through Disney’s enchanting influence, and today, she seeks to recreate that same sense of wonder in her work.

One of the defining moments in her career was the creation of In the Arms of the Universe, a piece made for World Children’s Day in collaboration with UNICEF. This project reinforced her belief that art is more than just a form of expression—it is a powerful tool for storytelling, evoking joy, and fostering connections. Whether working on commissioned projects or sketching for personal fulfillment, she embraces art as a continuous journey of growth and discovery.
